Reviews and Ratings
Although the rooms overlooked the gardens and were a bit of a walk from the main reception, my stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. The service was friendly and accommodating, creating a lovely atmosphere with live music during breakfast and evening pool sessions. The location, while requiring some walking, offered easy access to travel around the island. The dining experience had its downsides with a chaotic layout, but the fresh fruit and pasteis do nata were highlights. The facilities were good, especially the cure meats available.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of highs and lows. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with lovely views over the pool, and the top-class food, including breakfast, was a real highlight. However, the property could do with some updating, and the first night was spoiled by neighboring guard dogs that barked throughout the night. On the bright side, the staff were responsive and quickly resolved the issue, offering us alternative room options the next day.
I had a lovely stay at the hotel, with stunning sea views from my Miramar Suite room. The rooms could use some updating, especially the kitchen area, and more charging points would be convenient. The service was exceptional, particularly thanks to the wonderful Michaela, although there was a minor issue with the wash cloths in the bathroom. The location was fantastic, within walking distance of the town and marina, but the incident with the cleaners causing damage to my trousers was a downside. The dining experience was mostly good, although there were some hiccups with the evening buffet options. Overall, a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere with excellent shared facilities like the heated indoor pool at the adjacent hotel.
